SAN DIEGO, Calif., September 22, 1998 (PRIMEZONE) - The dynamism reflected in a series of newly-developed Internet delivery products from COMPS InfoSystems, Inc., the nation's leading commercial real estate information service, continues to unfold with the introduction of its Pipeline search engine at a demonstration event today in Denver, Colorado before a select group of key industry representatives.
An adjunct to COMPSLink, COMPS' acclaimed software database management package, Pipeline is designed to provide access to the most current COMPS information available with a database that includes the most comprehensive list available of confirmed and unconfirmed properties greater than $100,000. This product allows much quicker access to the information allowing many of the properties to appear in the database within one week of the close date. "Besides the quick access and scope of its coverage, the real strength of the application is that it allows you to control the information content and flow, to display only those properties meeting your requirements," said Wally Papciak, COMPS Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Product Development, adding that Pipeline's introduction is another step in bringing the company closer to an overall Internet convergence in its delivery system capability.
The other COMPS Internet products are DealPoint, which was previewed in San Francisco earlier this month and due to rollout within the next few weeks; E-COMPS, providing Internet access to COMPS vast database; E-COMPS II, an expanded version of E-COMPS which incorporates online delivery of reports, tentatively scheduled for release October 15; and Spectrum, a subscription-based application that provides access to a variety of sales, lease and expense comparables, property profile and appraisal data.
The demonstration, which was viewed by executives from such major real estate companies as CB Richard Ellis, Trammell Crow and Remax, was conducted in Denver because COMPS customers there indicated a high preference for accessing transactional information quickly and the company is committed to responding to such a need, said Mr. Papciak. "Denver seemed the most suitable place to officially rollout Pipeline. Commercial real estate professionals in Denver are technologically savvy and will provide great feedback on the new product," he added.
Specifically, its features include: * Internet Accessibility - Provides licensed users with intuitive selection options for unlimited access to the latest commercial real estate data. The cost of accessing Pipeline will be 15 percent of the list price of each individual subscription, but as an introductory offer there is a 30-day free trial. * Output Options - Displays data in the users browser for immediate report format printing capabilities. * Interactive filtering process, using county, property type and recording date. * Sorting report information under the same above parameters.
