LOS ANGELES, Calif., Nov. 17, 1998 (PRIMEZONE) -- Showscan Entertainment Inc. (OTC BB:SHOW) today announced an agreement with Imagica USA and Dynamic Digital Depth, Inc. DDD, formerly Xenotech, whereby Showscan will convert certain films in its thrill ride library to the 3-D format, from 2-D, utilizing revolutionary computer software developed by DDD and offered to the large format film industry by a joint venture of Imagica and DDD.
Dennis Pope, President and Chief Executive Officer of Showscan said, "This ground breaking agreement makes Showscan the first company in the simulation ride industry to fully utilize the highly acclaimed digitized process created by Dynamic Digital Depth. Moreover, it allows Showscan to expanding its long-term relationship with Imagica USA, which is headed by Mr. Christopher Reyna and establishes a relationship with DDD and its senior executives, Mr. Neil Speakman, Chairman, and Mr. Robert Baker, President and Chief Executive Officer.
