NEW YORK, Dec. 6, 1999 (PRIMEZONE) -- VISION Consulting, an international e-business integrator, and PIXEL, an Internet applications designer and developer, will partner in the implementation of ME.net's unified communication system. Building on the emergence of new technologies, ME.net will simplify the way that the individual consumer communicates, gathers and exchanges information and participates in the worldwide community. Under the development agreement, VISION and PIXEL's creative and technical expertise will be leveraged in support ME.net's Spring 2000 launch.
"As a leader in building e-businesses, we are delighted to offer VISION's integration capabilities and technological expertise to this innovative and complex project," said John Crowley, president of U.S. operations.
"An integrated infrastructure is crucial to the success of our service offerings," added Mortimer Sackler, CEO of ME.net. "As our technology partners, VISION and PIXEL will enable us to provide our users with the premier communication center."
ME.net is set to launch Spring 2000. The company's history goes back three years to 1996, when the core team behind ME.net founded 1-800-REACH ME LLC, a nationwide telecommunications service provider. With the emergence of Internet-telephony products over the last year, the REACH ME team of telecommunications specialists formed a joint venture with PIXEL Inc.'s team of technologists to create ME.net. In November 1998, the ME.net team began planning an Internet-enabled network focused on offering smarter and more sophisticated communication options that will simplify its users' lives.
