Electrowatt-Ekono (Thailand) Ltd., a Jaakko Pöyry Group company, has been awarded an EUR 8.9 million engineering and construction contract from ABB Alstom Power. Electrowatt-Ekono shall deliver the civil and mechanical works of the Balance of Plant for the 110 MW gas-fired combined cycle power plant to Amata Power Limited in the Amata Nakorn Industrial Park, Thailand. Electrowatt-Ekono (Thailand) Ltd. will be executing this local share of the project in a consortium with ABB Alstom Power (Thailand) Ltd.
Electrowatt-Ekono (Thailand) Ltd. is responsible for the engineering and the local procurement of balance of plant equipment, the engineering and construction of all civil works as well as the erection of mechanical equipment and the steam turbine.
Electrowatt-Ekono is the Energy Business Group of Jaakko Pöyry Group of Finland. Electrowatt-Ekono had net sales of EUR 140 million in 1999 and employs over 1300 persons in some 20 countries.
