MCN is a new competitive central European telephony and internet serviceprovider with already over 40,000 customers in Austria. MCN provides commercial and private customers a wide range of local and long distance integrated services. MCN is now entering Eastern Europe where implementation of fiber optics has come far.
The initial installation comprises of 3 Nimbra One switches and 5 Nimbra 101 access devices, which will be used internally in the Millennium Tower in Vienna, one of Europe's most prestigious enterprise complex.

The network is scheduled for initial deployment during end of May, with commercial traffic including voice, data and video. In a second phase, the agreement targets a wider implementation of a fiber ring between the cities Vienna, Salzburg, and Linz with Net Insight's ASIC-based Nimbra 200-switches.
