NAPERVILLE, Ill.April 28, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- John P. Calamos, President and Chief Investment Officer of CALAMOS ASSET MANAGEMENT, INC., has announced the addition of Steven Norvid as Vice President, Business and Product Development. Mr. Norvid is responsible for managing CAM's product strategy and related business opportunities.
Mr. Norvid previously served at Van Kampen as Vice President-Director of Product Development and in other management capacities and in consulting at Andersen Consulting. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Iowa State University with a major in finance and a minor in mathematics.
Commenting on the hiring, Calamos said, "We are excited that Mr. Norvid has joined us and are confident that his extensive industry and product development background will complement our management team. His is a new position, created to add focus to our efforts to grow assets under management by identifying and pursuing expanding market opportunities."
