Nokia to supply GSM network expansion to Maroc Télécom (Ittissalat Al Maghrib)


Nokia has signed a frame agreement to supply a GSM 900 network expansion to Maroc Télécom, the first mobile telphony operator in Morocco. The contract is valued at more than 60 million Euros.
Nokia will supply equipment for bringing increased capacity to Maroc Télécom network in areas of Casablanca, Rabat and north western Morocco.

Under the agreement Nokia will provide Maroc Télécom with base stations, base station controllers, Nokia Network Management Systems and Nokia Short Message Service (SMS) Center, as well as an extensive range of customer services covering part of site acquisition, civil works, installation and commissioning of all network elements. Deliveries have already started.
This Agreement is the fourth GSM supply agreement signed between Nokia and Maroc Télécom since 1995.
