Wolters Kluwer acquires nursing and health science publisher Springhouse Corporation

Springhouse is a leading publisher of information and continuing education for US nurse professionals, as well as health, wellness and anatomical information. Springhouse also operates the Internet portalwww.springnet.com, which provides segmented online communities for nurse practitioners and students. Wolters Kluwer said it would retain the Springhouse name and that the unit would become part of itsInternational Health & Science Publishing group, headquartered in Philadelphia, Penn. (USA). Springhouse has approximately 250 employees and had 1999 revenues of approximately US $ 59 million.
