BETHPAGE, NY, June 15, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Integrated Systems and Aerostructures (ISA) sector has appointed Anthony D. Piazza vice president-Business Management for the Airborne Early Warning and Electronic Warfare (AEW & EW) Systems business area, headquartered here. Mr. Piazza succeeds John Young, who recently assumed the responsibilities of vice president and integrated product team (IPT) leader-EW Programs.
Mr. Piazza will provide leadership to the administration and control functions of the business area and the integrated program, process and product team organizations. Additionally, he will be the homeroom leader responsible for business management personnel who support the IPT and departments in AEW & EW Systems, which has five major sites and a number of smaller locations across the country. He will assume the responsibility for integrating business systems across AEW & EW Systems' diverse product and service lines and for ensuring a competitive rate structure and IPT integration.
Mr. Piazza most recently was deputy to the vice president-Business Management AEW & EW Systems. He has been a key leader in launching the business area and establishing an IPT environment across product lines. Prior to this assignment, Mr. Piazza was director-Business Management for Bethpage operations. Mr. Piazza brings more than 31 years of experience to this position, principally in the areas of business management, contracts and pricing.
Mr. Piazza holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Long Island University and a master's degree in industrial management from Polytechnic University.
