Unicon Group has in Warsaw signed the necessary documents relating to its acquisition of the Danish Investment Fund for Central and Eastern Europe's eight per cent stake and Bauma S.A.'s 51 per cent holding in the Polish concrete paving stone business, Bauma Unicon Sp. z. o.o.
The about DKK 60m investment makes Bauma Unicon Sp. z. o.o. a wholly-owned subsidiary of Unicon Group. With some 125 employees, the Polish company expects to achieve a turnover for 2000 of around DKK 85m. Unicon Group's takeover of the remaining shares in Bauma Unicon Sp. z. o.o. will not markedly affect its financial result for 2000.
The acquisition of shares is subject to the final approval of the Polish authorities.
