Nokia strengthens its mobile network leadership In Iran


Nokia has signed an agreement with the Telecommunications Company of Iran (TCI) to further expand the GSM mobile network in Tehran. Nokia has been co-operating with TCI and delivering GSM network systems and related equipment since 1994. With this latest agreement Nokia strengthens its leadership as the main GSM supplier in Iran.

The GSM 900 network expansion supplied by Nokia, including switching and base stations systems, will be used in the capital area, to bring further capacity for TCI's fast growing network in Tehran. In addition to infrastructure equipment, Nokia Professional Services will provide comprehensive service solutions for radio network planning and implementation.
