Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj
Teuvo Salminen, M.Sc. (Econ.), Director of the Infrastructure & Environment business group, will take over as Executive Vice President and Deputy CEO of Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj on a full-time basis. In addition, Teuvo Salminen will be responsible for developing and commercialising the Group’s new business activities, developing the Group’s organisation structure and supervising the parent company’s internal functions.
Maris Tamsons, M.Sc. (Econ), President of JP Projektteknik AB has been appointed Vice President, Latin America, to co-ordinate the integration of Jaakko Pöyry Group companies operating in this region. Starting in September, Maris Tamsons will be reporting to Teuvo Salminen, Executive Vice President of Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj.
Seppo Sivunen, B.Sc. (Eng.) has been appointed Chief Representative of Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj in China as of November 1, 2000. Based in Beijing, he will be reporting to Erkki Pehu-Lehtonen, President and CEO of Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj. Seppo Sivunen has served as Finpro’s Commercial Counsellor in Beijing since 1999, and before that for five years in the employment of Finnish companies operating in China. He joined Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj on a part-time basis on August 1, 2000.
Satu Lyytinen, M.Sc. (Econ.), has been appointed Manager in charge of Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj’s Investor Relations as of August 1, 2000. She will be responsible for the company’s investor relations and for co-ordinating the company’s external and internal communications. She will be reporting to Teuvo Salminen, Executive Vice President of Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj.
Forest Industry business group
Stefan Antell, B.Sc. (Econ.), has been appointed Vice President, Key Account Management, as of August 1, 2000. Erkki Pehu-Lehtonen, M.Sc. (Eng.), will temporarily take over as Director of the Forest Industry Business Group and President of Jaakko Pöyry Oy in addition to his main duties as President and CEO of Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj.
Pekka Eskelinen, M.Sc. (Eng.), has been appointed President of JP Projektteknik AB as of September 1, 2000. He has held the post of Vice President (Eastern Finland) of JP-Engineering Oy since 1993.
Infrastructure & Environment business group
Risto Laukkanen, professor, Dr. Tech., has been appointed Director of the Infrastructure & Environment business group and member of Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj’s Executive Committee as of September 1, 2000. Risto Laukkanen will be responsible for continuing the internationalisation of the business group and for enhancing the business group's growth within the sectors of transport, water & environment, telecommunications, and commercial and industrial buildings. In addition, Risto Laukkanen will be in charge of the Group’s R&D activities.
Mr. Johann Schmieder, M.Sc. (Mech. Eng.) has been nominated Risto Laukkanen’s deputy in the Infrastructure & Environment business group.
