Nokia and SAS in co-operation to offer high end phones in the air


Nokia and SAS, Scandinavian Airlines Systems, have today announced a partnership to bring Nokia mobile phones to the selection of goods sold on all international SAS flights. This is the first time mobile phones will be sold on airplanes. Starting September 1, the Nokia 8210 and the Nokia 8850 will complement the assortment of quality goods available to passengers of SAS.

Nokia and SAS represent two strong brands that both stand for excellence in communication in their own ways. The Nokia 8210 fashion phone is the lightest of Nokia mobile phones with a shape and form that will appeal to the fashion conscious. The phone has voice dialing, Xpress-on colored covers, infrared port for data transfer, and picture messaging. The Nokia 8850 premium phone is a compelling statement of design that will appeal to those who appreciate timeless beauty. The light, small phone is encased in a silvery shell and equipped with an extensive set of features including voice dialling, picture messaging, infrared link and data support.

flights /day operating on intercontinental, European and Norwegian routes. SAS Flightshop offers a mix of products such as accessories, gifts, jewellery, perfumes, cosmetics, toys, sweets and - on routes outside the EU- spirits and cigarettes. The business concept was developed by United Investment AB in Stockholm.
