Nokia Honors Soccer Moms and Dads Across the Country

Nokia and RadioShack team up with US Youth Soccer to award the "Nokia/US Youth Soccer Soccer Mom & Dad of the Year Award” to soccer moms and dads across the country. Youth and adults can thank that special person for the sacrifices and long hours he and she have committed to the game of soccer by completing an essay on-line between August 24 – September 30 at www.youthsoccer.org.

Fifty-five moms and 55 dads will be selected to represent their state association and will then proceed to the regional contest level. From this group of 110, one soccer mom and one soccer dad will be chosen to represent each of the four regions for the national award. Of the eight representatives, one mom and one dad will be awarded Soccer Mom and Dad of the Year.

The winners of the “Nokia/US Youth Soccer Soccer Mom & Dad of the Year” each will be awarded a Nokia 5100 series wireless phone with a full set of Nokia Original Accessories, $1,000 in adidas clothing, and a new Chevy Venture minivan.

The Soccer Mom and Dad of the Year program enables both soccer players and fans to nominate their coach, friend, parent or spouse for being an inspiration to them and a great soccer mom or dad. Visit the web site www.youthsoccer.org between August 24 – September 30 and reward these hard working and dedicated soccer moms and dads.
