DALLAS, Sept. 14, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- American Realty Investors, Inc. (NYSE:ARL) announced Thursday that its Board of Directors voted to establish a stock repurchase program. A total of 1.0 million shares of ARI common stock are authorized under the plan. If or when the company repurchases shares under the plan, purchases will be made in the open market.
