Nokia launches Xpress-on(TM) image-maker covers for Nokia InSite base stations

Nokia has launched a range of colored covers for its unique Nokia InSite indoor base stations, allowing operators to offer their corporate customers a chance to greater express their company image.

The range of Xpress-on(TM) covers comes in yellow, green, white, violet and orange, as well as the more traditional grey. The covers are easy to fit – just click and snap on.

The revolutionary Nokia InSite Base Station solution provides optimized radio access for indoor hot spots. It is the world's smallest GSM base station optimized for indoor applications enabling smooth growth of dedicated coverage to ensure a high quality network.

Nokia InSite Base Stations have now been delivered to more than 30 operators around the world and commercial deployment has already begun.

"Like individuals, certain companies represent a certain kind of image and at Nokia we want to fully support operators in catering for all their customers' needs," said Jaakko Myllymäki, Marketing Director, IP Mobility Networks, Nokia Networks, "Some companies may want to have unobtrusive grey, however others may wish to lift up their image or make a bold statement and for these companies the imagemaker covers are ideal."

The Nokia InSite Base Station can be installed virtually anywhere, speeding up the rollout and significantly cutting deployment costs: it can be deployed in about one-tenth of the conventional time due to its "plug and play" wall mounted installation, small size and integrated design. Nokia InSite Base Station can also be combined with any of the Nokia GSM office solutions.

Nokia InSite Base Station is easy to install and supports automated network planning functionality, allowing the installation to be carried out by one engineer on a single site visit. In addition Nokia InSite base station will support GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) and is helping pave the way to the Mobile Information Society indoors.
