Tele Danmark Invests in Internet Technology

DENMARK, Nov. 27, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- With an investment in the newly founded company eStructure.net, Tele Danmark now enters the European Internet hosting market, expected to represent a value of more than DKK 20bn in 2002. Co-investors include Internet Ventures Scandinavia and Belgian Mitiska Net Fund

eStructure.net operates remote control data centers for companies wanting to ensure that their web sites are always accessible to customers. From a monitor center located in Denmark, eStucture.net monitors data centers throughout Europe. The first data center will be established in Frankfurt.

"It gives us confidence to see the great interest in our solutions. Our order book is already bulging which indicates that the result of the first reporting year is expected to be far above budget," says Ole Bjørn, CEO of eStructure.net

Only a few companies provide similar solutions in Europe, but as the Internet requires more and more expertise, scalability and stability, more and more companies will want to outsource the task.

eStructure.net optimizes customer access to Internet sites. This includes customers entering web sites without getting the reply "Our system is not accessible for the moment. Please try again later".

At Tele Danmark, Carsten Gaarn-Larsen, Vice President of Tele Dan-mark Innovation, is thrilled with the new investment. "eStructure.net has a unique concept in a market which is expected to grow explosively during the next few years," he says.

Tele Danmark is investing about DKK 10m in the new company.
