Northrop Grumman Sector Names Tom Vice New Vice President For Materiel

DALLAS, Jan. 12, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Integrated Systems Sector (ISS) has announced the promotion of Tom Vice to ISS vice president-Materiel, where he leads an organization responsible for U.S. and international procurement.

Previously, Mr. Vice was vice president-Business and Advanced Systems Development for the Air Combat Systems (ACS) business area of ISS. He is filling a position vacated in November 2000 by Philip Teel, who was named sector vice president for the Airborne Early Warning and Electronic Warfare Systems business area.

Since joining Northrop Grumman as an engineer on the B-2 program in 1986, Mr. Vice has held management positions of increasing responsibility. Prior to his business development assignments, he was an ACS information technology manager and manager of B-2 program operations and asset integration. He also served as manager of customer requirements and the B-2 business development, multistage improvement program.

Mr. Vice attended the University of Southern California where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering. He has completed several advanced management programs, including the Advanced Program Management course at the Defense Systems Management College.
