Opticom can confirm that during the course of this week
Hans Gude Gudesen, Research Director and Johan Carlsson
Senior Research Manager at Thin Film Electronics are in the
process of giving a series of company presentations to
investors. The presentations are designed to educate and
inform investors on the activities of Opticom`s subsidiary
company Thin Film Electronics (TFE).
No specifically new information was released at these
meetings, however, the following key points were
reiterated;
- The Intel joint venture project was progressing well and was on schedule.
- The Company was in active negotiations with a number of parties interested in licensing the TFE technology and working with TFE to develop products using that technology.
During the course of the meetings Hans Gude Gudesen also
expressed his opinion that Opticom had progressed from
being a research & development company to being a true
development company. The company has not released any
formal projections for a production start date and will not
at this time. However, the Research Director did express
his opinion that previous third party estimates he had seen
were conservative.
