GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., March 6, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Greatland Corporation today announced new senior management appointments. Greatland President and CEO Robert Nault named Phil Kirchner to Director of Customer Service and Timothy Hau to Director of Information Technology.
These appointments will help the company leverage realign business processes for optimal customer focus, particularly during busy tax seasons.
"Greatland has made a significant investment in its internal systems and customer support processes over the past 12 months," said Bob Nault, President and CEO. "These investments will pay off throughout the 2000 tax season in the form of faster product delivery and higher-quality customer support. The addition of two Directors to oversee these efforts helps ensure that Greatland's customers will continue to realize improved customer service -- regardless of whether they choose to interact with us by phone, email, fax or over the Internet."
As Customer Service Director, Kirchner will have responsibility for inbound and outbound telesales, customer service, technical support and product warehousing and distribution. Kirchner brings more than 13 years of product management and market understanding of the tax and accounting field to this position. A member of the Greatland team since 1987, Kirchner returns to the company after a short seven-month absence. In the past, Kirchner managed the product management group and had responsibility for product management of Greatland's electronic tax filing products. Kirchner has been active in the tax industry for more than a dozen years, previously holding positions with the National Association of Computerized Tax Processors (NACTP).
Hau will be responsible for the company's internal applications and infrastructure, telecommunications and customer Internet sites. Hau brings more than 14 years' experience in the information technology field to Greatland. He has highly specialized knowledge of the JD Edwards systems and serves on the Board of Directors for Quest, the International JD Edwards user group, and as President of the state-wide Wisconsin JD Edwards user group. Previously, Hau served as Manager of Systems Development at Little Rapids Corporation in Green Bay, Wis., where he was responsible for corporate-wide system development and strategic business planning, and oversaw the implementation of their JD Edwards system.
