NEW HAVEN, Conn., March 9, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) --

WHAT: Arnold Markle Symposium 2001 -- A two-day conference at
       Foxwoods Resort, Mashantucket, Conn. 
 
       Dr. Henry C. Lee will speak, as will numerous other noted 
       authorities as cited below. Awards will be presented to 
       Connecticut law enforcement and government officials. Capacity
       attendance of 500 persons from the fields of law enforcement, 
       criminal justice, government and forensic science is assured.

Background: The symposium is named for the late State's Attorney, Arnold Markle of New Haven, Conn. Atty. Markle was a strong believer in forensic education among criminal justice and legal professionals. This is the 12th annual conference. The University of New Haven, where Dr. Lee is a Professor in Residence, houses one of the foremost forensic science programs in the nation in its School of Public Safety & Professional Studies. The Symposium (conference) provides advanced training in areas that ordinarily is not available to smaller criminal investigators and others.
