Elekta Receives Orders in the U.S. and Canada Valued at SEK 100 Million


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 20, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Elekta (SSE:EKTAB) has received orders from major hospitals in the U.S. and Canada valued in total at approximately SEK 100 Million. The orders comprise a number of Elekta Precise Treatment Systems for treatment of cancer including linear accelerator, simulator, and other auxiliary equipment. Furthermore upgrades of hardware and software to existing systems are included. Also included is Leksell Gamma Knife(R) equipment to an American hospital. Deliveries are planned for fiscal year 2001/02.
