Nokia Announces Channel Accreditation Program

Nokia (NYSE: NOK) Nokia Internet Communications has announced its worldwide Channel Accreditation Program for select value-added resellers (VARs) and service providers, reflecting its commitment to both channel and customers. The Program ensures that customers have access to a wide range of security solutions supplied by knowledgeable and technically certified professionals by training, testing and authorizing accredited resellers to sell Nokia security solutions. For Service Providers, customers can be assured that the services offered comply with the highest standards of network security and that the service provider has satisfied Nokia accreditation requirements.

Since its inception in October 1999, Nokia Internet Communications has enjoyed continued growth. A key contributor to this growth is its highly qualified and motivated channel. This has allowed Nokia Internet Communications to address global markets and scale to the high volumes of business that are now being experienced. To ensure the customer experience meets Nokia’s exacting standards, the Channel Accreditation Program provides resellers and service providers with the necessary tools and support.

The Program offers three tiers of accreditation: Authorized, Premier and Gold, with each tier requiring specific certification levels for sales and technical training, meeting technical support requirements, and appropriate volume commitments. In return, Nokia offers technical, sales and marketing expertise, marketing programs, online sales training, demand creation activities, and the benefit of Nokia 24-hour follow the sun, First Call-Final Resolution support offering.

As part of the Program, accredited resellers and service providers have access to Nokia Online, a dedicated web service providing sales and marketing tools and resources. One such resource is the Nokia Learning Channel, an online, interactive, e-learning tool dedicated to sales and technical training. The Nokia Support web, another online resource, offers a best-in-class site that provides powerful tools, software and information. Combined, these web services allow Nokia and their accredited resellers and service providers to meet mutual business objectives.

“By developing a network of value added resellers and service providers with independently certified levels of training and a commitment to the Nokia brand, we can be certain that our customers’ requirements are being met and our brand and reputation are being upheld in the marketplace,” said Bob Brace, vice president, Global Channel & Product Marketing, Nokia Internet Communications. “The Channel Accreditation Program underscores Nokia’s commitment to its channel and ensures that Nokia’s customer demands and their exacting standards are being met.”

Note to editors:
In return for commitment to a modest level of revenue achievement and sales certification, a Nokia Authorized Reseller receives access to a selected range of Nokia product and to Nokia Online, a dedicated web service designed for accredited resellers and service providers.

Nokia Premier Resellers and Service Providers commit to a higher level of revenue achievement and certification of sales and engineering personnel. In return, Nokia provides them with access to a more comprehensive range of Nokia Internet Communication products, sales leads, participation in marketing programs, as well a host of other services delivered through Nokia Online.

Nokia Gold Resellers and Service Providers make the greatest commitment to Nokia by achieving certified sales and engineering personnel, as well as a substantial investment in customer support infrastructure and a significant level of revenue generation. Nokia matches that commitment with access to a more extensive product portfolio, sales lead priority, first consideration for market-development programs as well as all other support services.
