SAN DIEGO, June 14, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Chairman, President and CEO Edward F. Calesa of Women First HealthCare, Inc. (Nasdaq:WFHC) will present at the Wells Fargo Van Kasper, LLC Fourth Annual San Diego Growth Stock Conference. The conference will be held Monday, June 18, 2001 at the Wyndam Emerald Plaza Hotel in San Diego.

Mr. Calesa's presentation is scheduled from 3:30 - 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time and will include discussion of business operations, improved first quarter 2001 results, and strategic plans for the Company.

The one-day conference will focus exclusively on companies that drive the economy in the San Diego area. More than 40 public and private companies in the specialty pharmaceutical, biotechnology, consumer electronics, wireless communications, computer, software, and food industries are expected to participate.
