Wolters Kluwer sells its American training company Blessing White

Blessing White offers training products for Fortune 2000 companies with 1,000 employees or more. Their training processes address three fundamental issues that companies face with the implementation of new business strategies: change, communication and commitment. The training company has offices in Skillman, Chicago and San Francisco. There is also a Blessing White office in Berkshire (United Kingdom). The company employs approximately 100 people and realized sales of approximately EUR 17 million in the year 2000.
 
In March 2000, Wolters Kluwer stated that it would sell the Professional Training activities, which not only represented a small part of the business of Wolters Kluwer, but were also very different in expertise and culture. Professional Training is a group of companies active in the field of providing training services and solutions to major corporations, non-profit organizations and professionals.
 
Last year Wolters Kluwer divested the Professional Training companies Krauthammer International, IEC and HQ, representing EUR 47 million annual sales, equal to more than a third of total cluster sales. This year the company sold the Financial Training Company with sales of approximately EUR 47 million.
 
In line with Wolters Kluwer's general policy, the result on this divestment will be accounted for under 'Results on Divestments'.
