Pervasys Content Acquisitions continue with SharkLive.com

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 3, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pervasys (Pink Sheets:PVYS) has entered into an agreement with David Shark to develop live weekly segments for the Internet. Shark, recently brought on CBS' (NYSE:VIA) popular, long-running daytime drama, the Young and the Restless (http://www.cbs.com/daytime/yr/) as "Warton," will be working with Michael Meyer, Pervasys' Chairman and David Woodrow, President of Woodrow Productions, to develop SharkLive.com as a unique form of interactive digital entertainment.

Shark's impressive Hollywood credits include, most recently, 18 Wheels of Justice, Gone in 60 Seconds (with Nicholas Cage), Lockdown, Chill Factor (with Cuba Gooding Jr.) and Desert Heat.

Known as a "tough guy," Shark has also appeared in dozens of action roles including, among many others, Fist of the North Star, Night Hunter, Without Warning and Invasion Force.

The format will allow viewers to see and hear Shark live on the Internet, and to ask him real questions in real time using text chat in, with full audio and video out.

About the opportunity to show Hollywood secrets and invite the audience back stage at shows such as the Young and the Restless, Shark says: "Although I play a lot of tough guys and villains, I believe in the importance of positive role models for young people today. I also have the utmost respect for the craft of acting. With Pervasys' technology and Internet interactivity, I believe SharkLive can provide entertainment and a real contribution to fans, young people and aspiring actors".

This is the third offering from producer/manager David Woodrow, who had previously secured long term agreements for Pervasys with the Miss Black USA pageant and James Bartohlet's LANitelifeJames.com.

Pervasys Corporate Secretary and Director, Lawrence Lotman, has been developing the revenue models to commercialize digital properties acquired by the company. "We are planning to exploit both advertising time in the stream, as well as 160 X 120 pixel plots of Web real estate. With this exciting new live broadcast series for the Internet, streaming advertising clients will also have the opportunity to place click-through ads in eight of the 12 "160 X 120" pixel plots that surround the live "320 X 240" pixel picture. We believe that this package will prove to be far more effective for client recognition, exposure and reaction than traditional banner ads, with a major impact on how advertising is conducted on the Internet."
