Wolters Kluwer nv announced today that David Smith, CEO of the cluster Legal, Tax, and Business Europe, is leaving the company for personal reasons. Jean-Marc Detailleur, Member of the Executive Board of Wolters Kluwer, will take over the responsibility of Mr. Smith as of today.
The Executive Board of Wolters Kluwer regrets the decision of David Smith and expresses its appreciation for the dedicated way in which he contributed to Wolters Kluwer. Rob Pieterse, Chairman of the Executive Board of Wolters Kluwer said:'We thank David for his input over the last 10 years to Wolters Kluwer and wish him all success in the years to come.'
Jean-Marc Detailleur will combine his Board Member activities with the responsibility as CEO of Legal, Tax & Business Europe. Mr. Detailleur is at present responsible for Legal, Tax & Business Europe, Legal, Tax & Business Asia Pacific, and Human Resources at Executive Board level.
Mr. Pieterse added: 'We are pleased that Jean-Marc Detailleur is willing to take over the operational responsibility for this cluster. With his broad managerial and commercial expertise, and his experience of the European businesses we will be able to quickly continue the implementation of the strategy for our European activities that was recently embarked upon.'
