STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 10, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The agreement to acquire MapMedia and InfoStation from ATMG, which was announced in December, will not be implemented.
The agreement to acquire the companies was made by a newly formed company in which Bure's ownership is 51 percent. The acquisition was subject to the approval by ATMG's Annual General Meeting on January 18, 2002.
Due to a new share issue guaranteed by the major owners in ATMG, the Board of Directors of ATMG no longer recommends an agreement to acquire the companies. As a result it is anticipated that that the AGM will not approve the deal. Against this background, the stakeholders in the company formed to carry out the acquisition (Bure, ATMG, Christer Johansson and GP-Ventures) and ATMG have mutually agreed to cancel the agreement.
