LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Jan. 16, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Law Firm of Cauley Geller Bowman & Coates, LLP announced today that a Notice of Opposition has been filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division in securities litigation involving Enron Corp. ("Enron" or the "Company") (NYSE:ENE) on behalf of clients William and Roxann Davis and E. Bruce Chaney.

On December 21, 2001, Davis and Chaney filed a Motion to be Appointed Lead Plaintiff; Approve Selection of Lead Counsel and Consolidation of Related Cases in Eastern District of Texas. It is the understanding of Davis and Chaney that other parties have filed to be appointed lead plaintiff in Enron-related litigation in other judicial districts that did not serve Davis and Chaney with a copy of their moving papers. Davis and Chaney filed a notice to oppose each of these motions as well as any motion for the appointment of lead plaintiff in any judicial district. A copy of the complaint filed in this action is available from the Court, or can be obtained by contacting Cauley Geller Bowman & Coates, LLP.
