Zaandam, The Netherlands, February 5, 2002 - Ahold announces the appointment of Eppo Boot as Vice President Financial Services at Ahold headquarters, effective April 1, 2002. In this function he will report to Andre Buitenhuis, Senior Vice President of Finance and Fiscal Affairs. Currently Boot is Chief Financial Officer of CRC TOPS Thailand.
Frits van Peski will succeed Boot as CFO at CRC TOPS Thailand, reporting to Randy Guttery, CEO. This change is also effective April 1. Currently Van Peski holds the position of CFO, TOPS Malaysia.
Ton Nolet, currently Manager Business Control at Albert Heijn in The Netherlands, will succeed Van Peski as CFO Malaysia, effective April 1. In this position, Ton will report to Noel Trinder, CEO Malaysia.
In Asia, Ahold has operations in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
