ESPOO, Finland, Feb. 28, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Peterson Linerboard AS in Norway chooses TietoEnator to implement their e-business solution. The solution will make it possible to place call- off-orders via internet. It also web-enables the logistics information flow such as warehouse status, order and delivery situation and production data.
Peterson's objective is to improve their service level by offering customers an online-access to the information, which today is available only by phone calls, faxes or mail. Customers will be able to access information such as reels in stock and delivery status. This will help them to reduce the lead-time in the ordering process. By the end of 2004 Peterson hopes to receive 50% of call-off-orders via internet.
The e-business solution is based on TietoEnator's TIPS solution for paper and board industry. The paper industries' message standard, papiNet XML-messages are used for call-off-orders.
