ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands, March 7, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Nedlloyd today announced that the Supervisory Board has appointed Mr. H.B. (Henk) van Wijk (58), former member of the Executive Board of Aegon, as a member of the company's Supervisory Board, effective as of May 8, 2002. The Committee of Shareholders and the Works Council have accepted this appointment.
Messrs Van Royen, Hazelhoff and Pohl will withdraw from the Board on the same date. After the earlier appointment of Mr. Berndsen as of January 1, one vacancy remains which will be filled at a later date.
