STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 15, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Trio has signed an agreement with Cygate AB concerning the sale of IP telephony systems and the integration of traditional fixed telephony and IP. The agreement involves Trio PresentOffice, the market's leading switch-neutral solution for integrated telephony and advanced call handling. It covers sales in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Estonia and Lithuania, where Cygate conducts operations. The first order for a large integration solution based on the products of both companies has been received.
Trio's and Cygate's solutions allow companies or authorities to integrate IP telephony with traditional switch telephony. This enables them to capitalise on existing investments and allows them to make a gradual transition to IP telephony. Cygate also offers pure IP telephony solutions together with Trio PresentOffice. They are based on Cisco's IP telephony platform.
"We are primarily targeting the substantial existing customer base that we share. But we have also identified a number of new customer segments. Cygate views the agreement with Trio as an equation of the type 1+1=3. We have already lansed a major order and there are several more in the pipeline," said Goran Marby CEO and President of Cygate.
Trio PresentOffice is the market's only switch-neutral solution for integrated telephony. This means that fixed, mobile and IP telephony can be integrated into a single virtual telephony system, allowing switch attendants to handle all calls the same way. Some of the functions that are most in demand include a top-quality attendant workplace, referral, voice response, a dynamic corporate directory, a voice mailbox and unified message handling.
