STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 15, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- At WM-data's Annual General Meeting held today, April 15, 2002, it was decided to:
- Pay a dividend of SEK 0.20 per share for fiscal 2001. Record date is April 18, 2002. The dividend is expected to be paid from VPC (Swedish Securities Register Center) on April 23, 2002.
- Re-elect Jonas Fredriksson, Hans Mellstrom, Gundor Rentsch and Thord Wilkne as Board members.
- Elect Borje Ekholm, Lisbeth Gustavsson and Lars Wedenborn as new Board members.
- Authorize the Board, until the next Annual General Meeting, to issue new shares, on one or more occasions, in an amount not to exceed 20,000,000 Series B shares.
As employee representatives, Rebecka Andre, Hans Mild and Ove Stromberg have been appointed, as well as deputy members Gunnel Johansson and Jan Karlsson. At the statutory Board meeting following the Annual General Meeting, Thord Wilkne was elected Chairman of the Board, with Borje Ekholm elected Vice Chairman.
In his address to the Meeting, President Crister Stjernfelt described developments during fiscal year 2001, which was largely characterized by weaker demand, primarily in Sweden. The action program initiated during the third quarter is now gaining effect. A continued weak market trend is foreseen for 2002 and the anticipated profitability improvement will be a result of cost reductions and increased productivity, in other respects, in the form of a higher billing ratio. With its strong market positions and balance sheet as well as an enthusiastic and goal-oriented management, WM-data expects to achieve the goal of growth exceeding the market by 5-10 per cent.
