ESPOO, Finland, April 18, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- 3G Infrastructure Services (3GIS) chooses the project management method, PPS (Praktisk Projektstyrning) from TietoEnator. 3GIS will thereby have access to a well-tried method for the management and handling of projects.
The contract is valid for three years and includes a PPS company licence and right of use of the method, training for different target groups and consultancy work related to the method.
The development of PPS started 15 years ago and the method has been successively adapted and modified from the experience gained. Today it is used among a large number of companies, both large and small, in different branches in Sweden and abroad. TietoEnator also offers PPS training and this year alone about 3500 people will be trained.
The PPS method mainly offers a structure for the work in a project. The aim is to guarantee that the project achieves customer benefit and profitability, but a lot of importance is also placed on people, that is to say, the project members' roles and responsibilities.

3G Infrastructure Services AB was formed in April 2001 and is owned by mobile operators Europolitan Vodafone AB, Hi3G Access AB and Orange Sverige AB. The company's objective is to build and operate the infrastructure that will enable operators to offer their customers UMTS-based mobile services outside Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmo and Karlskrona.
