Jaakko Pöyry Group awarded four major railway projects in Germany


BPI-Consult GmbH, which is part of the Jaakko Pöyry Group's Infrastructure & Environment business group, has been awarded four major railway projects in Germany by Deutsche Bahn AG, the German railway company. The total contract value amounts to EUR 10.3 million.

Three of the assignments comprise site supervision of the civil construction work and signalling installations for the upgrading of the railway track sections Hamburg-Berlin, Ingolstadt-Munich and Halle-Leipzig. These projects will be completed during the period 2002-2005. The fourth project consists of engineering work for upgrading the rail tracks of the Mainz-Koblenz-Cologne railway. The project will be completed in 2003.

BPI-Consult GmbH is one of the leading transportation consultants in Germany. The new projects will strengthen BPI-Consult's position in the railway sector.
