UPPSALA, Sweden, April 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pricer has received an order from the leading German retail chain Metro, Pricer's largest customer. Starting in 1996, Metro has installed Pricer's ESL system (Electronic Shelf Label) in 53 Cash & Carry stores in Germany, and has implemented a totally integrated ESL system.
The new order includes delivery of batteries and accessories. Deliveries will start during 2002 and will continue during a three years period. The order, at a value of at least 1.4 MUSD, follows the agreement Pricer and Metro signed in 1996 giving Metro the possibility to change batteries on their existing labels after a five years. The labels were at the time of purchase specially designed on a request from Metro to have the possibility to easily change batteries.
