ESPOO, Finland, May 2, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- TietoEnator has acquired the remaining 49% of TietoEnator MAS GmbH shares from TietoEnator MAS private owners 1 May 2002. The first transaction, where TietoEnator acquired 51% of the shares of MAS GmbH was done in May 2000.
TietoEnator is the leading supplier of information systems for paper and board mills in Europe. TietoEnator MAS is responsible for TietoEnator's Forest business in the Central European market. The company employes more than 100 specialists in Regensburg and Munich.
The deal strenghtens TietoEnator's leading position within paper industry in Germany and creates basis for further business expansion in Central Europe.
