"The past two years has brought considerable changes in the structure of the mobile industry and brand marketing has become even more crucial success criterion. The main task for Mads Middelboe will be to maintain and expand TDC's position as the leading mobile operator in Denmark," said Henning Vest, President of TDC Mobile International and Chairman of TDC Mobil A/S.
"I'll focus on improving both profitability and market share in TDC Mobil," says Mads Middelboe, who considers them areas of equal importance. "It is our intention to compete on good customer service rather than giving handset subsidies."
Mads Middelboe has been recruited internally from TDC and consequently has a thorough knowledge of the business dynamics of TDC. He comes from a position as Vice President with responsibility for residential customers in TDC Tele Danmark. He will be replaced by Allan Christensen, marketing director in TDC Tele Danmark Residential.
Mads Middelboe replaces Joergen Weber as President of TDC Mobil A/S. Joergen Weber has managed TDC Mobil through a number of transitions over the past 18 months and has expressed his wish to prioritize his family. Joergen Weber will continue in TDC and will take up a new management position after the summer break.
