DELFT, The Netherlands, July 8, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Cardio Control has signed an important agreement to bundle its sales and marketing efforts with a Germany based electronic medical records company, Albis GmbH, a leading provider of patient information systems. Cardio Control NV, running its operations from the heart of Delft, in the Netherlands, specializes in medical diagnostic systems. With this agreement, Cardio Control's German subsidiary expects to boost its growth significantly.
Albis GmbH serves more then 4,000 German physicians with its 32bit Windows patient information system. The system is integrated with Cardio Control's software for medical diagnostics. This deal follows a short one month after Cardio Control announced the largest private order in the history of the industry for PCBased Stress ECG systems.
In a statement, Managing Director, Dick van Luijk said: "This cooperation, combined with the installation of our software in some 40 hospitals in Germany as a result of last month's reported megaorder will help increase our market share significantly. We also hope to find more German companies to partner with, similar to what we do with Siemens in France for the hospital market."
Based on the latest information, Mr. Van Luijk expects to report a modest profit for the second quarter. The results for the first six months of this year are scheduled to be published in August. Third and Fourth Quarter 2002 are expected to reflect very good results which will lead to a nice profit for the whole year, according to Van Luijk.
