STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 15, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- PartnerTech has signed an order with Hypercom Financial AB to manufacture credit card terminals for use in an online system. The agreement is worth SEK 70 million. The order is to be fully delivered before the end of December.
Hypercom has developed and obtained an order for a new and secure terminal for credit card payments, including the equipment that will guarantee secure funds transfer by means of PIN codes. Hypercom has in turn chosen PartnerTech to manufacture the credit card terminals.
PartnerTech president Mikael Jonson commented, "Delivery of Hypercom's advanced product has already started, and the project will be concluded before the end of December. The product requires a great deal of technical expertise, particularly when it comes to security. A project like this one, which is highly demanding in terms of both time requirements and technology, allows us to demonstrate our skills and know-how in a variety of areas."
