BOW EAGLE Update

The accident is a tragedy for those involved and we highly regret that our ship BOW EAGLE has been involved in an accident resulting in the loss of 4 lives. Our deepest thoughts are with the related families.

We have continuously co-operated with the relevant authorities (Norwegian, French and Dutch) and yesterday we requested a Maritime Investigation from the Norwegian authorities. Representatives from Odfjell, the Norwegian Maritime Investigator and our insurers are awaiting the vessel in Rotterdam.

The French authorities has given permission to proceed to discharge port in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and the vessel continued its voyage at about 4 pm today.

BOW EAGLE is under command of Captain Reidar Heggås. Press contact is Hans Lund, Quality Assurance Department/Designated Person, Odfjell ASA, phone +47 55 27 00 00.

We will update our Internet home page www.odfjell.com as further information is available.
