STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 2, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- WM-data (Other OTC:WMDTF), market-leading in outsourcing of IT services in Sweden, has signed an agreement with Volvo Car Corporation. The agreement covers delivery of complete operating and support services as well as installation of a new client and service platform, Ford Global Client. The agreement is valid through May 31, 2006, with an extension option.
With more than 30 years of experience in the operation, maintenance and further development of the information systems and IT environments of companies, the business and cooperation with Volvo Car Corporation is viewed as a strategically important transaction.

WM-data is establishing an on-site organization at Volvo Car Corporation that will comprise about 100 persons. Establishment of the organization is already under way and is being carried out with existing employees and to a large extent new recruitment. The installation involves about 12,000 clients and 100 servers. WM-data is also responsible for the helpdesk and on-site support as well as operating and supervision of the file/print servers and LAN.
International cooperation
Through cooperation with the American helpdesk and support company TechTeam, WM-data gains access to valuable expertise and knowledge about Ford's tools and processes. This provides WM-data increased possibilities of being able to quickly implement a total solution for Volvo Car Corporation. TechTeam is Ford's main supplier of helpdesk and support services.
