STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 3, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Vodafone Sweden is launching Eurocall Platinum in collaboration with other European operators in the Vodafone Group (NYSE:VOD). Eurocall Platinum is a development of the Eurocall service and is designed for high-volume overseas call customers.
Eurocall allows Vodafone Sweden's customers to make and receive calls at uniform prices at any hour, day or night, when they are traveling in Europe. Eurocall Platinum is a development of the Eurocall service launched last spring. Eurocall Platinum covers four zones in Europe, which means that subscribers to the service only need to keep track of which zone they're in to know how much their calls cost. Eurocall Platinum is better suited than the plain Eurocall service to those who make calls for more than 60 minutes per month in the Platinum zone.
"Eurocall Platinum is the result of the close working relationship within the Vodafone Group, which allows us to launch and refine services that work internationally on an ongoing basis. We also know that customers nowadays want control of their call costs and a simpler pricing structure," said Anders Sjoholm, Commercial Director, Corporate and Telematics, Vodafone Sweden.
The service can be used in most European countries, and more countries are continuously being added to the list.
