HELSINKI, Finland, Oct. 7, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Metso Paper will supply mechanical pulping systems to three Stora Enso paper mills at Anjalankoski in Finland, Hyltebruk in Sweden and Baienfurt in Germany. The orders, whose value will not be published, will be delivered during 2003.
Metso Paper's delivery to Stora Enso's Anjalankoski mill in Finland is designed to modernize the pressure groundwood plant. In addition to supplying new rejects refining, dewatering and screening systems, Metso Paper will also provide installation and startup of the equipment, and training of the operating and maintenance teams. Start-up is scheduled for June 2003.
Stora Enso's Hylte newsprint mill at Hyltebruk, Sweden, has placed an order with Metso for three refiners for TMP pulp. The scope of the delivery also includes engineering, erection, start-up and training services. The Hylte mill is among the leading newsprint manufacturers in the world. The equipment will be delivered in the first quarter of 2003.
For Stora Enso's Baienfurt mill in Germany, Metso Paper will supply a grinder for the expansion of the groundwood plant. Metso Paper has also supplied the three existing grinders at the plant. The delivery will also include some auxiliary equipment and a grinder automation package readyinstalled. Start-up is scheduled for September 2003. The Baienfurt mill produces premium-quality carton boards for the packaging of cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food and tobacco products.
