Nokia brings color to its premium category of mobile phones


Nokia today introduced its first full color screen mobile phone for users desiring a timeless sophistication and enriched communication. The Nokia 8910i links genuine materials with functionality and elegance in inspired ways, thereby continuing the successful design path of its precessors. Offering Multimedia Messaging (MMS), Java(TM), Bluetooth wireless technology, HSCSD and GPRS, the sleek titanium-cased Nokia 8910i is clearly a premium phone in a class of its own.
 
Deliveries of the Nokia 8910i (EGSM 900/1800) are expected to start in the first quarter, 2003. The phone will be available in European, African and Asian markets.

The titanium outer covers of the Nokia 8910i provide the phone with a lightweight, yet strong appearance. The keypad and selection keys of the phone can be accessed with an automatic opening mechanism by gently pressing the subtle side triggers.
 
The features of the Nokia 8910i phone include support for MIDP Java 1.0 technology for additional downloadable applications that are a maximum of 64 kB each. With MMS functionality supported by GPRS and the WAP 1.2.1 browser, users are able to easily create, send, receive and store multimedia messages* that encompass still or animated pictures and text. Additional content including colorful wallpapers, ring tones and Java games can be downloaded from Club Nokia. Bluetooth capabilities wirelessly link the Nokia 8910i with other Bluetooth-enabled phones and devices supporting data and audio transfer.
 
The Nokia 8910i phone weighs 112 grams. It has up to 4 hours 30 minutes of talk time and up to 300 hours standby time. The phone comes in titanium casing with a matt black finish.
