Hankkija-Maatalous Oy will become owners with a holding of one third in Movere Oy, which specializes in agricultural logistics. Following the ownership arrangements, Movere will be owned by Kemira Agro Oy, Suomen Rehu Oy and Hankkija-Maatalous, each with a holding of one third. The holding arrangement will be realized through a directed issue.
Movere's net sales will increase to EUR 50 million as a result of the ownership arrangements, the share of sea freight being EUR 10 million. After the change, Movere's transports will rise to three million tonnes, up by one million tonnes.
Products sold by Kemira Agro, Suomen Rehu and Hankkija-Maatalous are primarily transported by road or sea freight to Northern Europe and the Baltic rim area. The partners will be able utilize their joint logistical benefits when delivering products intended for agricultural production. Movere has facilities in Lahti, Turku, Kotka, Uusikaupunki, Seinäjoki and Vaasa in Finland.
The logistics centre of Hankkija-Maatalous Oy, located in Turku, attends to the nationwide logistics services of the Agrimarket chain. The Agrimarket chain consists of Hankkija-Maatalous Oy and five agricultural cooperative local trade centres that engage in the trade of agricultural supplies. The cooperatives are owned by Hankkija-Maatalous. According to the joint venture agreement, Hankkija-Maatalous Oy will transfer the operations of its own logistics unit, excluding products transferred via retail shops, to Movere. Personnel in the employ of the logistics unit will transfer to the employ of Movere without interruption and with earlier terms and conditions
