Nokia has signed a supply contract for the expansion of Chinese mobile operator, Henan MCC's GSM network in a deal worth more than USD 100 million.
Equipment deliveries, which include both GSM core and radio access network infrastructure and Nokia's Operations Support System solution, Nokia NetAct(TM), have already begun.
With this contract Henan MCC will be able to further enhance the network capability and rural coverage and thus strengthen network capacity and quality across the whole province.
In addition to network equipment, Nokia will provide network planning, implementation, and project management for efficient network ramp-up, as well as optimization services for enhancing data transfer rates and network quality. A wide range of care services, including training, software maintenance and onsite support services, will help maintain the competitiveness of the network.
