MALMO, Sweden, Dec. 20, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ingrid Bahlenberg has been appointed the new Plant Manager at Kockums Karlskrona, with 900 employees. She currently holds the position of Plant Manager at Volvo Buss in Boras and will take up her new position on February 1, 2003. She succeeds Borje Appelqvist who is retiring.
Ingrid Bahlenberg, 46, has a MSc in mechanical engineering from Lulea University, in Sweden. She has been Plant Manager at Volvo Buss in Boras since 2000, having previously held the position of Plant Manager for Volvo Parts in Flen from 1996 to 2000. Prior to this she was Marketing Director at Eskilstuna Energi och Miljo, heading this municipal company during the deregulation of the energy market. She has also held a position as Export Manager within the engineering industry.
In her recent positions at Volvo in Boras and Flen, she has been engaged in implementing improvements to the work organisation to promote efficiency gains. She has led and implemented this change process with excellent results.
