For the year 2002 the Sika Group achieved net sales within the expected amount of about CHF 2.12 Billion. Net sales were therefore slightly above those of the previous year. Measured in local currencies net sales grew by more than 7.5%. Above average increases in sales were achieved particularly in the Eastern and Southern European as well as the Asian markets. The growth in local currencies despite the fact of largely shrinking markets shows that Sika managed to gain market share in a highly competitive environment.
